Professional Journalists
Journalists and digital creators working in any medium (written word, photography, audio, or video) and who are routinely paid for the work they are entering, are eligible in this category. Local, national, or international professionals are welcome to apply.
Community Journalists
Community journalists and digital creators working in any medium (written word, photography, audio, or video) who are professional, freelance, or lay contributors to local outlets, are welcome to apply.
Young Voices
Students on college campuses, in schools of journalism, digital creators and journalists ages 18 - 24 are welcome to apply.
Prizes
We are awarding $30,000 in prizes for outstanding stories and opinion pieces.

Two prizes of $7,500 each, for stories or opinion pieces. Multiple entries must be in the same medium.

Two prizes of $5000 each, for stories or opinion pieces. Multiple entries must be in the same medium.

Two prizes of $2500 each, for stories or opinion pieces. Entries can be in any medium (photography, written word, video, or audio).

The William and Mary Greve Foundation (“the Sponsor”) presents the 2025 Goldziher Prize competition.
